HAMPTON - Charles Braxton Bell was born on May 3, 1963, in Newport News, Virginia and entered eternal rest on Sunday, July 21, 2013. Charles graduated from Menchville High School in 1981. He made his career working for Newport News Shipyard for over thirty years building a legacy of American ships. He loved his family and was a wonderful husband and father. He is preceded in death by his mother Elnora Braxton Bell. Charles leaves to celebrate his life and cherish his memories, his loving wife LeKendra M. Bell, four sons, Charles Braxton Bell, Jr., Rasean Javaughn Bell, Michael Cameron Cole, Cyear Savion Bell; and one daughter Samia Paris Cole all of Hampton, VA; two sister-in-laws, Afton Artis and Alec Artis and one brother-in-law, Curtis Artis, II. Two grand-sons, Jeremiah Braxton and Elijah Aaron; In-Laws, Curtis and Maria Artis, Great Aunt Doris Hayes; three sisters, Lois Bell, Barbara Hawk and Patricia Bell; five brothers, Clinton Bell of Norfolk, VA, William Bell of NJ, Willie Bell, Nathaniel Bell and Raymond Bell, all of Newport News, VA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral services for Mr. Charles Braxton Bell will be held at 11 am, on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at Macedonia Baptist Church 5500 Marshall Avenue, by Bishop Carl W. Miller. Internment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Newport News, Va. Viewing for Mr. Bell will be held on Friday, July 26, 2013 from Noon until 6:00 p.m. at C. C.
