Charles GRAY Obituary

NEWPORT NEWS - On Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2010, Charles Haword Gray Sr. entered into eternal rest with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Brenda, Miranda(Jerome), Debra, Tamara, Tonya, and Trina; sons, Herman and Jeffery(Karen); sisters, Florence and Mary; brother, Linwood; 20 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; adopted godchildren, Michael Gilliam and Delores Hines; and a host of beloved family and friends. He will be greatly missed.

My prayers go out to the family of Charles Gray. I never met him face to face but he and my grandmother became long distance friends from a wrong dialed number close to 4 years ago. She often came from NC to visit and they became really close and through her I came to know Mr. Gray. Charles your Ruby Dee (MY GRANDMOTHER) misses you much already and will be there for your home going.

May God Bless,

Sharon Williams
