Charles KESSLER Obituary

NEWPORT NEWS - Charles 'Chuck' Kessler, 83, a longtime resident of Newport News died Sunday, Sept. 5, 2010.
Chuck was a member of Resurrection Lutheran Church, served his country in the U.S. Navy, was an avid dancer and was affectionately know as 'The Music Man' when he visited the North Hampton Convalescent Center.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara of 59 years; one brother, Larry Kessler and his wife, Marge of St. Louis, Mo.; a brother-in-law, Tom Bryant and his wife, Doris; a sister-in-law, Alice Ford, all of Newport News; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A service celebrating his life will be held at Resurrection Lutheran Church at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 9, 2010, with pastors Hank Hollar and Benjamin Dolby officiating.
Memorial contributions may be sent to Resurrection Lutheran Church, 765 J. Clyde Morris Blvd. Newport News, VA 23601.
