KNOXVILLE, TENN. - Charles Wayne Davidson passed away September 7, 2013. He was born in Newport News, Va., on March 20, 1946 to William and Betty Castellow Davidson. Charles was a graduate of Warwick High School and Old Dominion University. Charles served in the Air Force Reserves and was a member of the International Gideon Association. Charles and his first wife, Judy, lived in Fredericksburg, Va., where they founded and operated Southern Auto Supply for 34 years. Charles was a Sunday School teacher at Friendship Baptist Church in Fredericksburg, Va., before relocating to Knoxville in 2008. He was a mentor to many, always taking the time to help someone in need. Charles said his greatest blessing in life was being blessed with wonderful Christian parents. He was preceded in death by his parents and first wife Judy. Survivors include his wife of six years, Wanda Miller Davidson; three daughters, Amy Grubb and husband Robert, Sarah Ford and husband Nathan, Anne Sewall and husband Lyle; two stepsons, Gene and Wayne Miller; grandchildren, Adam, Mary and David Grubb, Ben and Lauren Ford, Jack and Thomas Sewall, Chris and Danielle Miller, April, Autumn and Zack Miller; two brothers, William A. Davidson and wife Sallie, and Melvin Davidson; two nieces, Pamela Roffe and husband Barney, Christine McGrail and husband Mike; and nephew, the Reverend Jim Davidson and his wife Jennifer.
