Christine WILCOX Obituary
Born in Boykins, Va., she had been a Peninsula resident for over 65 years.
Mrs. Wilcox was preceded in death by her loving husband, Thomas H. Wilcox; mother, Leone Carlton; and father, the Rev. Graham S. Carlton. She is survived by her son, Thomas "Mike" Wilcox and wife, Patricia of Hampton; a daughter, Sheryl L. John and husband, Thomas of Edgewater, Fla.; and a brother, Robert G. Carlton and wife, Helen of Great Bridge. She is also survived by five grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., tonight, at Weymouth Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2010, in the funeral home chapel, by the Rev. Mike, I'm so sorry about your Mom. The lost of a loved one is always hard, and I'm sure you'll miss her. Remember the good times, try to forget the bad, and only think of the love you felt for her and she for you.

Dear Mike, Bobby and Cheryl,
Christine has always held a special place in my heart. From the times I used to stay at her house, she took the time to take me crabbing, fishing and Tom always brought home chocolate milk from Marva Maid for me to drink for my entire visit. At 10 years old, that was as good as hitting the lottery!
I will always remember your Mom and Dad for making all of us laugh, share great memories and having fun whenever we were around them.
What a blessing to have them in our lives growing up.
