Christopher BLANCHARD Obituary
He is survived by his wife, Shawnna Blanchard and his son, the love of his life, Jon Curtis Blanchard; his mother, Cynthia Murawski and stepfather, Thomas Szalkai; his father and stepmother, Jean and Sarah Blanchard; siblings, Amber Blanchard-Mandel and Virginia and Joshua Blanchard; his grandmothers, Joyce Curtis and Annette Gamble; and niece and nephews, Jenna Webb, Braydon Mandel and Benjamin Moses.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Jon Curtis, Gordon Gamble and Sidney Blanchard.
Christopher had recently embarked on a new career in New Orleans area of Louisiana. His wonderful smile and incredible laughter will be deeply missed by all the friends and family members he leaves behind. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 12, in the New Life Church at Great Bridge, 1116 Hillwell Road, Chesapeake, VA 23322. You are and always will be my brother in law! You are unforgettable! We will tell Jon stories, and show him pictures of you often. We will never let him forget how much you loved him! We will cry with Jon when he cries, smile when he smiles, and laugh when he laughs. Losing you has put a hole in our hearts that we will never be able to fill. We will all miss you Chris. Rest in peace my brother in law we will take care of things here on earth as you look after us in heaven. Thank you for being our angel now. Wrap your wings around your son and us as we try to get through life without you it will be hard because your personality is rare and hard to come by.
