Christopher JONES Obituary
Chris was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Gloria Mae Jones of Toano, Va.; and his son, Chris Jr.
He is survived by his four children, D'moni, Kristaja, Jaedyn and Jahseir Jones (Detroit, Mich.); his grandmother, Carrie Wallace; five brothers, Anthony Walker, Bruce Walker (Cartina), Antonio Walker (Jearl), Raymond Jones, and Lamont Jones; one sister, Ruby Lee (John).
Chris graduated from Lafayette High School and was a member of Mt. Nebo Baptist Church in New Kent, Va.
The funeral service will be held at 1pm. Wednesday, May 12, 2010, at Mt. Nebo Baptist Church in New Kent, with the Rev. Morris Randall officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Nebo Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 11, 2010, at the funeral home. Professional services entrusted to the staff of Whiting's Funeral Home in Williamsburg, 757-229-3011. Chris was truly a blessing to me . The friendship we had the laughs , smiles and just words of encourgement . I was so greatful to know him and so very deeply sadden that he is no longer here with us . My thought and prayers are with the Jones family . May god contiune to bless each and everyone of you. I had the pleasure of meeting Chris this pass fall during the "Jags" football season. The little time I knew him, he was a joy to be around. I was looking forward to laughing at him give the boys instructions from the sidelines this year. I know he will be missed by many.
