Clifford DAVIDSON Obituary

CARROLLTON - Clifford "Cliff" Dean Davidson, 73, passed away Dec. 30, 2010, at his home, after a short battle with cancer. He was born May 2, 1937, in Lundale, W.Va.,, to the late John and Rissie Davidson and resided in Carrollton for the past 32 years.
Cliff was the owner and operator of Davidson Enterprises, Inc., a custom cabinet business that served the Hampton Roads area for 20 years. He was a talented cabinetmaker who took pride in providing his customers with the highest quality products and craftsmanship possible.
He will always be remembered for his kindness and generosity and will be sorely missed by his family and friends. His belief "in always doing the right thing" is one of the many wonderful qualities for which he will be remembered.
In addition to his parents, Cliff is preceded in death by his sister, Marquetta Ann Hicks.
Cliff leaves to cherish his memories his son, Mike Davidson and wife, Becky of Gloucester; his daughter, Marlene Davis and husband, Bob of Newport News; brothers, Ralph, James, George and Martin Davidson; sister, Peggy House; and grandchildren, Tara, Keirsten, Kylee Davis, Angela Davidson, Jacqueline Cranias, Ian and Kelly Stevens and Heather Moran.
A life celebration service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 3, 2011, in Colonial Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Bob Haggerty will be officiating. Burial will be in St. Luke's Memorial Park. The family and friends will gather from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 2, in the funeral home for visitation.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the charity of one's choice.

Marlene, Bob, and girls-

I am so sorry for the loss of your Dad, Father-in-law, and Grandfather. I know God will give you peace during this time of sorrow and grief. May you reflect on the memories of your Dad, and I pray that God keeps those memories alive in your heart! According to God's word, we have that hope and promise of seeing our loved ones again. I pray this gives you comfort in knowing your Dad is resting in perfect peace, in perfect health, and in perfect joy in the caring arms of Jesus!
