Cynthia PENN Obituary

HAMPTON - On Wednesday, July 28, 2010, Cynthia A. Mosley Penn, 50, was called home to live with Jesus after a year long battle with cancer.
Cynthia was a 1977 graduate of Ferguson High School. She joined the U.S. Army in 1979. While station at Fort Riley, Kansas, she met and married Ernest Penn.
She leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Lillie Mae Scott; her sister, Berthenia Alexander-Mills; her maternal aunt, Christine Hall; nephews, Douglas Jr.(Mica) and Christopher Alexander; niece, Alexis Mills; a host of other relatives and friends.
Thanks to her very special friend, Samuel Pickney, and the staff and chaplains of the Hampton Veterans Medical Center Palliative Care Unit, for their care and dedication shown to our love one.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 19, 2010, at the main chapel at the Veterans Medical Center. Arrangements by Poole's Funeral Home, Sabrina Hardy-Newby and Valanti R.
