YORKTOWN, VIRGINIA - Cynthia Yvonne Machin, 56, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 16, 2014. Cynthia was born in Newport News, and a former resident of Wilmington, NC before moving back to York County in 2006. She was a graduate of Tabb High School class of 1975. She was a very loving and deeply devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister. She had a passion for children's missions and was currently sewing pillowcase dresses for the orphans of Haiti. She enjoyed spending time with her family, horseback riding, and fishing. She attended Bethel Baptist Church, Yorktown, where she was active with Feed My Sheep ministry. She was preceded in death by her parents, Garland and Mamie Wilson and is survived by her twins, Robert Joseph "Joe" Machin, Jr. and Kristen Georgianna Machin; a brother, Jim Wilson and his wife Diane, and 2 grandchildren, Aden Cavedo and Leora Schwartz. A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, February 20, 2014, at Bethel Baptist Church, 1004 Yorktown Road, Yorktown, VA. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethel Baptist Church to support orphan missions in Haiti 1004 Yorktown Road, Yorktown, VA, 23692. Arrangement by Amory Funeral Home.
