Daisy Arthur Obituary

NEWPORT NEWS - Daisy Winner Arthur, 55, passed away Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009, at Riverside Regional Medical Center.
Born in Newport News, she was a lifelong Peninsula resident. She worked in the importing-exporting department with Chick Packing in Newport News. Family was very important to Daisy, and her children were her pride and joy. She especially looked forward to going camping at the beach in Chincoteague.
Daisy is survived by her mother, Norma Winner and two sons, Aaron and Brandon Arthur, all of Newport News; three sisters, Vickie Mowry of Lenexa, and Sherry Allen and Pamela Cupp, both of Newport News; a special nephew, Jason Cupp of Newport News; three additional nephews and five nieces; and two aunts, Gertie Hubbard of Seaford, and Shirley Perconte of Newport News.
A funeral service will be conducted at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2009, at Weymouth Funeral Home, by the Rev. Dennis Worsham. The family will receive friends following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Daisy's memory to the American Cancer Society, 11835 Canon Blvd, Suite A-102, Newport News, VA 23606.
