Darlene BRIZENDINE Obituary
She was preceded in death by her mother, Nancy Lee Collins.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband of 29 years, Robert G. Brizendine; two daughters, Amber Joy Lopez and husband, Alexis, and Brittni Lee Brizendine; grandson, Triston Addriian Lopez; sister, Debbie L. Davis; father, Joseph E. Davis; 13 nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 8, at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home.
A celebration of Darlene's life will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 9, at Faith Baptist Church, 100 Blackburn Lane in Hampton, 23666, officiated by the Rev. Larry Soblotne. Interment will follow at Peninsula Memorial Park in Newport News.
Friends are encouraged to visit www.parklawn-woodfh.com to share memories and words of condolence with the family.

I received alot of strength through your wife, mother, and daughter. She never showed any weakness. It was loving to see such a wonderful family during this time. I will miss her and all of you. My thoughts are with you during difficult time and season.

I had the opportunity to work with Darlene for a number of years and she is one of the sweetest ladies one could ever meet. I thank God for the time I was able to spend with her. She is a true angel.

Darlene was a true example of how to live and love people. Her life is a testiment on how we should continue with out her. She was a good friend and an angle of God while on earth. I will see her again one day and I wish her family peace and Gods grace through this difficult time. Remember she is not gone , just not here. Darlene and I worked together at RRMC for many years. She will be missed.

Darlene's sweet and humble spririt will always be a memory in my heart. I was blessed to have worked with Darlene @ RRMC. We will miss her bodily presence but her gentle spirit will always radiate amongst us. My deepest condolence to the Brizendine's family. Stay encourage! Keep in mine she's in a better place.
