David McCLOUD Obituary

SMITHFIELD - David, 60, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Nov. 14, 2010.
David was a U.S. Army veteran and served in the Vietnam conflict. He served his country faithfully and received an honorable discharged.
He was retired from Newport News Shipbuilding and Dry Dock Co., and was a member of Local Steelworkers Union 8888 for 25 years. He was also a member of Possum Hallow Ruritans, Bacon's Castle Baptist Church, and a former member of Smithfield Great Spring Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include his only son, David R. McCloud Jr. of Portsmouth, Va.; stepdaughter, Rhonda Cahill of Smithfield, Va.; 17 brothers and sisters, and a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins who are spread across the U.S.
Services will be held at Bacon's Castle Baptist Church on Saturday, Nov. 20, and will include visitation and viewing at 10 a.m. followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m., with the Rev. J. Acree officiating. Burial will be at Hampton Veteran's Cemetery at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 22.
