Delano WHITE Obituary

NEWPORT NEWS - Delano 'Dale' Roosevelt White, 69, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2010, after a long battle with cancer.
Mr. White was born and resided in Newport News and son of the late Frank and Margaret White and brother of the late Frank Ward White.
He is survived by his wife, Pam Ann White of Newport News; and his son, Michael White; and two sisters, Genevieve Albert and Dorothy Oliver.
A longtime resident of Newport News he spent 12 years working at the Navy Shipyard. He was a member of winning bowling teams, and during his early years he had fond memories growing up on 25th Street in Newport News.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, at Faith Baptist Church, 100 Blackburn Lane, Hampton, VA 23666. The family will receive friends following the service. View and post condolences on our online guestbook at dailypress.com/guestbooks.

I was deeply saddened to hear about Dale’s passing. My family and I want to offer our condolences to you at this time. I hope that you find peace and love and as the days and weeks pass and you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends. Pam , Delano is peacefully resting with our Lord now . Yes we all will miss him but some day there will be a great reunion in heaven for all of us one day. He has no worries, and pain now and forever. May the Lord Bless and keep you in his care.
