Doris BOERNER Obituary

YORK COUNTY - Doris Gibson Boerner, 81, passed away on Wednesday, June 2, 2010, at York Convalescent Center.
Born in Darlington, S.C., she had been a Peninsula resident for the past 65 years. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.
She was a loving and generous person who loved to laugh and spend time with her family.
Mrs. Boerner was preceded in death by her husband, Robert R. Boerner.
She is survived by her devoted children, Brenda Turner and her husband, Larry of Seaford, Tracy Behm and her husband, Tom of Omaha, Neb., and James P. Price of Suffolk; four grandchildren, Jason, Gregory and Michael Turner and Chandler Behm and four great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 7, 2010, at Weymouth Funeral Home. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 8, 2010, at Greenlawn Cemetery on Parish Ave in Newport News by the Rev. David Lekarczyk.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Alzheimer's Association, 6315 N. Center Dr., Suite 233, Norfolk, VA 23502 or The Heart Association, P.O. Box 5216, Glen Allen, VA 23058.
