It was a blessing for me to know and spend time with Aunt Dorothy. She was a beautiful and kind lady filled with love and encouragement. She is at peace with the Lord and will be sorely missed.

To the Daughtry Family, I am sorry to hear about your lost. It is hard losing a mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and a friend. I hope it helps to know that others care and are praying that the beautiful thoughts and memories shared by friends and loved ones will help to ease the pain and bring you a measure of comfort.

To the Daughtry Family, My prayers are with you as you Celebrate the Life of your Love One. Mrs. Daughtry was my First Grade teacher at Newsome Park Elementary in 1966. Not only was she my teacher, she was the first grade teacher of four of my siblings before me and one sibling after me. I will never forget her class. She instilled so much into her students and believed in all of us. I often thought about MY FIRST GRADE TEACHER and as I reflect back, she had a way of making sure we were listening to her. Even as I type these memories, I am just smiling at all of the activities in her class. After all of these years, I still have so many great memories. May God continue to Guide, Bless and Keep all of you in His loving arms.

To the Daughtry Family, It was a pleasure to have met Mrs. Daughtry although I might have only known her for a short time, I can say she was my friend. Each time i visited her whether she was in the hospital or at the nursing home she was a joy to be around. Aunt Theresa you lost a mother but i lost my friend. I call her my friend because she became a friend because she was and i will truely miss my friend. Remember to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Remember you all in my prayers.

Mom Daughtry was a beautiful person who loved her family and friends dearly. She was a woman of great character and substance, and I was fortunate to be her daughter-in-law. She will be greatly missed by all her knew her well. We take comfort in knowing that she is no longer suffering and in the assured hope that we will see her again in Paradise (John 5: 28-29).
