Edith INMAN Obituary

HAMPTON - Edith H. Inman, 95, died Saturday, Dec. 12, 2009.
A native of Simpsonville, S.C., she had been a Hampton resident since 1974, where she was a member of Wythe Presbyterian Church and its Circle #1. She was an avid reader and had volunteered at Hampton General Hospital for many years.
Preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, the Rev. Vernon E. Inman; survivors include her daughter, E. Ione Tabor and her husband, Kenneth of Carrollton; her son, John Inman and his wife, Barbara of Hampton; three grandsons, John Riedesel and his wife, Suzanne of Frederick, Md., Michael Riedesel of Newport News, and David Inman of Manassas; and three great-grandchildren, Daniel, Hannah and Rebecca.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, 2009, in the R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home chapel by the Rev. Susan Cothran. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral. Interment will be private.

I have never had the pleasure nor honor of meeting Mrs. Inman ... I am a friend of her daughter Ione, If Ione was anything like her mother, then Mrs. Inman was an amazing woman !!! I know she will be sorely missed. What a beautiful & loved woman & mother she was. God Bless her Precious Soul !!
