WILLIAMSBURG - Edward T. Blizzard answered the Master's call on Wednesday, February 6, 2013, in Sentara Leigh Hospital, Norfolk, Virginia. His life's journey began on May 1, 1930, the son of the late Virginia and Levi Blizzard, of Williamsburg, Virginia. He was a lifelong resident of the area and he attended First Baptist Church, Williamsburg. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He retired from the Chrysler Corporation, after thirty-five years of dedicated service. He had a jovial personality and he will be greatly missed by all. He leaves to cherish his precious memories, his daughters, Colette Blizzard, Renee Smith (Paul) and Umasia Morris; his son, Marquez Lunsford; his sister, Frances Burrell; his three grandchildren; his great-grandson; and many other loving relatives and a host of caring friends. A funeral service, celebrating the life he lived, will be held 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 16, 2013, in First Baptist Church, 727 Scotland Street, with the Rev. Dr. Reginald F. Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Jerusalem Baptist Church Cemetery. Family and friends will assemble at 147 Carriage Road by 12:00 noon on Saturday.
