Eleanor Richardson Obituary

WILLIAMSBURG - Eleanor Nichols Richardson departed this life to enter into the glory of Jesus Christ on Oct. 25, 2009. Eleanor fought a valiant fight with breast cancer.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Orville Richardson.
Eleanor was born in Roanoke, Va., and had resided in Tidewater since 1955. She worked as a Management Analyst for the U.S. Army for over 35 years. A number of years were spent living in Germany. Eleanor was a devoted member of Walnut Hills Baptist Church for over 30 years. She enjoyed volunteering with the youth group and her Sunday School class.
She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Middleton and her husband, Jon of Williamsburg; her son, Frank Clark and his wife, Diane of Chesterfield County; six grandchildren, Kelly, Ashley, and Justin Middleton, Kyle, Kristopher, and Karson Clark; three brothers, two sisters, and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd., Williamsburg. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 29, at Walnut Hills Baptist Church, 1014 Jamestown Rd., Williamsburg. Dr. Tony Neal, and Dr. Jerry Haywood will be officiating the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, P. O. Box 650309, Dallas, TX 75265-0309.

We sincerely love your Mother, a gracious and elegant lady. Horace and I always looked forward to her sharing her life experiences. She could even make the house chores seem a pleasure. We are so grateful for the memories we have of a beautiful lady,sharing her memories/experiences with us on a lovely day sitting on her deck overlooking her beautiful backyard.

Cindy and family,
