Ms. Deubel was one of my mother's most special friends. Growing up on Woodhaven Road brings back many memories of her and the family. My mother continued to visit her throughout her final years, bringing homemade soups and German potato salad. Mom and Ms. Deubel were like sisters. We all mourn her passing, but we also know she is free of pain and suffering. Her spirit is among us, forever. With love and prayers, Brenda Morgan Tolson and Martha Morgan

My utmost heartfelt loss and sorrow for a wonderful woman. I remember Erna hiring me as a high school kid to work my first job as a teenager at Ramada Inn East Williamsburg and then following her to work at Days Inn off of Richmond Rd. She always cared for me like a son and because of her, I was able to learn a great work ethic that I use to this very day. I will miss her and can't wait to meet her in paradise one day. - Ricky T.
