Evelyn THOMPSON Obituary
She was a longtime resident of Newport News, Va., before moving to Livermore, Calif., six years ago.
Evelyn is survived by her children, Diane, Steven and Sue Thompson; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren, all of whom were very dear to her.
A celebration of her life will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, 2010,
at Reformation Lutheran Church, 13100 Warwick Blvd., Newport News, VA 23602. Evelyn will be laid to rest in Hampton Memorial Gardens, Hampton, Va. View and post condolences on our online guestbook at dailypress.com/guestbooks.

Evelyn and I were friends since W. T. Grants in 1972. We had many luncheons together and stayed in touch for over 30 years -- a true friend.

Steve & Sue,
I never had the pleasure of meeting your mom, but I can tell by some of the qualities you both share (love, generosity & humor to mention a few) she had a big influence in your life and always will.
Losing your Mom at any age changes your life forever. May your memories and the love & support of your families & friends help you through the most difficult times.
