Evelyn EMERSON Obituary

HAMPTON - Evelyn G. Emerson, 90, of Hampton, Va., passed away Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2010, after a long illness.
Evelyn was born in Chattanooga, Tenn., and was a resident of Coliseum Park Convalescent Center, for the past three years, and The Devonshire assisted living for five years prior.
Mrs. Emerson was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Mr. Ray W. Emerson.
She is survived by her daughter, Joyce Marie Cooper; and son, Patrick Ray Emerson, both of Hampton. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Anthony Giannini, Patricia Emerson, and Patrick Emerson.
The family would like to thank the residents, nurses, and the entire support staff for their kindness and superb care given to our mother during her stay at both of the facilities during her convalescence. A special word of thanks to the staff of the 'C' Wing at Coliseum Park for their care and outstanding assistance.
A private memorial service was performed at her residence and now she may rest in peace. View and post condolences on our online guestbook at dailypress.com/guestbooks.
