To my classmate, Arthur and the Hobson Family,

Please accept my sincerest sympathy in the loss of such a precious part of your life. May it ease your tears to know you shared so many years! This one act of sympathy is such a tiny part, but joined with those of others, may some comfort it impart. May your faith in God's promises your grieving souls sustain and help to mend your broken hearts until you're whole again.

Be Still

Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.

Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.

If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.

Steve and the Hobson Family,

Having met Mrs. Hobson and that beautiful smile - that she would share with everyone - always brightened my days. Mrs. Hobson had such a glow about her. I honestly believed she was 'touched by an Angel'. I remember how humble she was to anyone who approached her. That beautiful smile will live on in her sons; Steve, Michael and Arthur. And i pray that their devotion and faithfulness brings them comfort. And please do not despair because GOD has promised to always be with us. Feel free to contact me [email protected]

My thoughts and prayers go out to your entire family. I worked with Mrs. Hobson at Northampton Convalescent Center for several years. She was a great person with a huge heart Even though she was not always able to verbally express herself and perform some of the activities she did previously, she was a VERY DETERMINED lady. She was one of my favorite patients and I will greatly miss her! May our memories of Mrs. Hobson forever live in our heads and hearts....

Arthur your Mom has left this desolated land.
She’s at a better place; now in God’s hands.
Within John 11:25–26 her life now expands.
In God and these words realities truly stand.

In these times life may seem that it’s unfair…
It’s inevitable that these times we all will bear.
Now with God a wonderful mother you share.
It’s a time for celebration; not one of despair.

1 Corinthians 2:9 is the life your Mom is within.
Ginks I know my words flow easier on my end.
Condolences are truly with you Brother/ Friend.
It’s my deepest sympathies to the family I send.

Your Mom raised yall as real men as in her plan.
Your Father supported her within his demands.
In 63 years of marriage they were bless to stand.
On Jan. 9, 2010 for her God reach out His hand.

I’m closing and in the background I will remain.
Your Mother is an angle that heaven has gained.
Brother’s surrounding a Father yall will sustain.
I hope my expressions helped ease some pain.

Sincerely Written By: Roger Wooden Jr.

Miss Flo always made me feel welcomed at "27." If I was hungry I ate plenty and if I was thirsty I drank the best. There was always a warmth and gentleness that came from Mrs. Hobson. She always had that cool smile and I loved to hear her say," ... that cat," when she'd be talking about Uncle Hop. You know... you'd go around the Hobson's and you'd get plenty to eat and drink and there'd be tons of fun and laughter and there would always be words of wisdom shared that made your life make more sense... and then there was Miss Flo. She was the love at 27. Rest in peace Miss Flo. I will miss you.
