George Thomas Jr.
December 30, 2010
Mr. France Davis, Sr. was a neighbor in Hampton, Virginia.
We lived on Bonneville Drive: they at 23, my parents at 26 Bonneville Drive. George Sr., is deceased and I George Jr. after retiring from Navy....live with my 82 year old Mother Edith. France, my father George Sr. and I....George Jr. were members of American Legion Post 48, in the Phoebus section of Hampton.
As First Vice Commander of Phoebus Post 48, I wish to send my condolences and those of Post 48 to all of France's sons and daughters. I also desire to send the condolences from my Mother...Edith H. Thomas.
Although France and Jeanne are gone from Hampton....we remember how beautiful they both kept their lawns. Gone, but not forgotten.

I first met Mr. Davis as a member of Phoebus Post 48 of the American Legion. I especially remember the stories we shared and the camaraderie as a fellow military retiree. One of the important people in keeping America free!
