Frances GRENOBLE Obituary
She and her late husband, Bruce, lived in Newport News for more than 50 years. She was born in Petersburg, Va., in 1924. In 1941, she entered Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg, Va., graduating with a BA in Education after three years. She subsequently taught French and English in Zuni, Va., and at Warwick High School in (then) Warwick County. Fran was known for her wonderful cooking and her love of entertaining guests. She was an active member of Morrison United Methodist Church for nearly her entire adult life.
Survivors include four children, Alex Grenoble of Salisbury, N.C., Ray Grenoble of Yorktown, Bert Grenoble of Newport News, and Lisa Grenoble Champ of Cobbs Creek, Va., and their respective families. In total she had 11 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 10, 2010, in Peninsula Memorial Park with the Rev. Delia M. Parrish officiating.

I sure am sorry to hear about your mom. She was a very nice lady. Having lost my mom a few weeks ago I know it can be tough at times. We can find comfort in our memories and the knowledge that they are waiting for us in Heaven.
