HAMPTON - On Saturday, December 29, 2012, Frank Slaton died suddenly at the age of 51. Frank was a resident of Hampton since 1975 and graduated from Denbigh High School in 1979. He attended Ferrum College then enlisted in the U.S. Army, eventually working as an Intelligence Interrogator in Munich Germany. He was fluent in German and Hungarian and was working as a Private Investigator/Bail Bondsman upon his untimely death. He was proceeded in death by his Mother Lieselotte (Kahl) Slaton , Grandparents Edmond and Elva Slaton, and Siegwalt and Anna Kahl. He is survived by his Daughter Stacy Slaton and Grandchildren Keith, Kailee and Mason Hopkins of Browns Mills N.J., Father Randal Slaton of Gloucester, A Sister Cynthia Rodasky and Nephew Michael Rodasky of Hampton. Aunt and Uncles James and Nancy Slaton of The Villages, FL, Peter and Phyllis Tsevis, St. Louis MO. Hans-Georg and Heidi Kahl , Bad Hersfeld Germany and a number of cousins. Frank will always be remembered for his generosity, ability to make people laugh and loyalty to his friends and family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A memorial service will be held at Berceuse and Cremation Traditions, 2609 Cunningham Drive, Hampton on Friday January 11, at 3:00 p.m.
