Fred DAVIS Obituary

SMITHFIELD - Fred Raymond Davis passed on June 26, 2010. Born Aug. 3, 1928, he was 81 years old.
A native of South Boston, Va., Fred was a resident of Isle of Wight County since 1962.
Fred was greeted in heaven by his wife, Ann Davis; and parents, Mozelle and Edward Davis.
A dearly loved father and husband, granddaddy, brother, uncle and cousin. Fred's memories will be cherished by his daughter, Debbie L. Deaver and husband, Robert of Hampton; son, Paul A. Davis and wife, Rhonda of Smithfield; brothers, Linwood Davis of Smithfield, James Davis of Florida, Roy Davis of Newport News and Garnett Davis of South Boston, Va.; his grandchildren, Chris and Justin Hall, Seth Davis and Kimberly Morgan; great-grandchildren, Meadow and Jared and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 29, 2010, in the Chapel Mausoleum, Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens, with the Rev. Will McCarty officiating, with Army honors rendered. The family will receive friends and loved ones from 6 to 7 p.m. in Colonial Funeral Home, and at other times in the home.
