Pat you and your family have my deepest sympathy. ~~
"Someone Near to Me Has Died"
Eternal Spirit, someone very near and dear to me has passed on into the larger life and I stand bewildered, alone, and sadly stricken. .
In my grief I bring thee my words of gratitude for all the rich gifts that the departed one has brought to my life¬
The bond of mutual confidence and understanding
The gift of fellowship in shared tasks and unrealized ambitions
The joy that come when one can be sure that someone knows him to the depths and trusts him completely.
Grant me now, my Lord, the courage to carry on in the spirit the one departed has bestowed upon my life.
Save me from weak complaint and futile regrets.
Enable me to build well upon the legacy of gracious memories remaining to me.
Give me the power to carry to fulfillment the joint undertakings of our hearts.
Empower me to think and act and grow in harmony with the purposes and spirit which my departed loved one would approve and inspire. Thus, may I be true to the memory of the one who has passed on.
Amen
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor heights, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. .
