Gloria Jenkins Obituary
Gloria was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church. She was an example of what every mother should be. Her love was countless and meaningful. Her deep parental kindness in bringing up her children and any hardships she endured will never be repaid as they are priceless. In other words, her love for her family was endless and indescribable! A mother so unselfishly dedicated to her family, we, her husband and children, only hope to approach the standard she set for us. She also treasured her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Gloria loved flowers and spent many hours working in her flower gardens.
Her parents, Michael and Marian Dalton preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband, Harry Jenkins Jr.; daughter, Teresa Owens and husband, Sean; son, Allen Jenkins and wife, Michelle; brother, Michael Dalton Jr. and wife, Billye; seven grandchildren, Jennifer Bush, Brittany Owens, Josh Jenkins, Jessica Jenkins, Brett Jenkins, Dillon Jenkins, James Allen Jenkins; three great-grandchildren, Brittney Best, Mikie Emerson and Olivia Bush; mother-in-law, Mrs. Hazel Jenkins; two sisters-in-law, Faye Deal and Helen Jenkins; cousin and best friend, Nancy J. Harris; a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services, officiated by the Rev. Stephen Young, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, at Bethany United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in Rosewell Memorial Garden Cemetery. The family will receive friend from 4 to 6 p.m. today, at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. View and post condolences on our online guestbook at dailypress.com/guestbooks.
