Grace MOODY Obituary
She was a devoted wife and mother. She was a lifelong resident of Hampton, Va., and was a member of Little Zion Baptist Church.
She leaves to cherish her memories her husband of 60 years, Robert P. Moody; her fine children, Lillian Dixon Miles, Thomas Dixon (Ruth), Sylvester Dixon, Wesley Dixon and Russel Dixon (Marvis); and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.
A viewing will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 18, 2010, at the funeral home. The funeral service will be held at noon Friday, Nov. 19, 2010, at Little Zion Baptist Church, 1824 W. Queen Street, Hampton, Va. Family and friends will assemble by 11 a.m. at 111 Pennington Terrace, Hampton, Va. Interment to follow at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Suffolk, Va.
Donations in her memory can be made to Little Zion Baptist Church, 1824 W. Queen Street, Hampton, Va.

My mother in-law Grace was a wonderful woman. I married into this family 44 years ago and she was always kind to me. To my husband Russel and all of the family members, I continue to pray that the peace of God will rule and reign in your hearts. I know she will be missed, but we must be thankful to God for the years He allowed us to be a part of out lives.

My sincere condolences go to the family, Mrs. Moody was a kind and generous woman with a unique sense of humor. I grew up admiring and respecting her as she so deserved. She will truly be missed by my family and I. To the family take comfort in knowing she is now resting peacefully in the bosom of our Lord smiling down upon us.
