He is survived by his children, Hartwell Jr.(Princess) and Penny Cotman(Bobby); four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two sisters; one brother; other relatives and friends.
Remains rest at J. Leroy Charity Funeral Home, Charles City. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, at Little Elam Baptist Church. Eulogy given by the Rev. Daniel Wallace. Interment will be in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. Please omit food. View and post condolences on our online guestbook at dailypress.com/guestbooks.

Johnson Family
Mr. Johnson was one of the kindest people that I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. We both worked for the same company "Nappe-Babcock" for a number of years, and I can honestly say, everyone simply loved him. He will be truly missed by all. Rest in Peace, Hartwell.
