Hattie Wilson Obituary

HAMPTON - Hattie E. Wilson, 80, died Friday, Oct. 23, 2009.
She was the daughter of the late Nathaniel and Hazel L. Watts.
Hattie was a member of Morning Star Baptist Church and of Truelight Wheatley Temple # 5 I.B.P.O. E. of W. She served in several auxiliaries of her church and T. W. T. # 5. She graduated from George P. Phenix High School in 1946 and Peninsula Business College.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Preston Wilson.
She is survived by her daughter, Corlease Sills; two grandchildren, Valecia and Brittany; a sister, Bertha Paige (Frank); a brother, Lewis C. Watts (Eunice); nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The funeral service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29, at Morning Star Baptist Church, Hampton. Mrs. Wilson will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Hampton Memorial Gardens. Viewing is today from 2 to 6 p.m. at Smith Brothers Funeral Home, Hampton, 723-4117.
