My condolences to the Vasser family. Hurley was an all around nice guy to me. He was my inspiration as a competitor when running with and against him. My deepest thoughts and prayers are with the family in this time of sadness. God be with you and be blessed with comfort. R.I.P Hurley Vasser.

My dear friend and husband departed this life on a bright, sunny Saturday morning. God was truly smiling upon him. I reflect back on this past year of his life and am reminded of the compassion and love he has always shared toward others. He hated for others to be in emotional pain and always offered an encouraging word to make us all feel better about ourselves. He sacrificed much for the love of others. He did not judge others and often reminded me I did not always know the pain, suffering or troubles others may be enduring. He was warm, caring, funny and loving toward others and always left his foot print of kindness. I will miss my friend as I learned much about love from him and he made me feel beautiful. The addition of our wonderful daughter, Khadijah, cemented our love for a lifetime and I am blessed to have a part of him with me even now... The life lessons he taught me will remain with me forever and I will forever cherish him in my heart and soul. Truly, heaven has welcomed home one of its finest Angels. With all my love, Your wife and friend Romona
