My heart, thought and prayers go out to the Elks family, as Inez will truely be missed by all.... I took care of Inez at Rosewood Village and although I was only there for a short time (8months), she left a mark on my heart....Inez's favorite was COFFEE, she loved her coffee and I knew every morning before her breakfast was served she wanted a nice hot cup of coffee to start her day off. She had great care takers, Martha, Patty and Annie and a wonderful son to whom meant the world to her she always enjoyed going out and having lunch or dinner with him or just being in his presence made her day brighter. Inez you will truely missed by all but god has special plans for you, miss you !!!

Granny, you always made me feel as if every moment we spent together was special. You always listened, never judged..but were always willing to lend a few wise words of encouragement. I feel so blessed that you were my granny...I will always carry you in my heart.

Thanks everyone for your kind thoughts. Your postings mean so much to our family. Her home was always welcome to everyone. Never knock, just walk right in and more times than not she would be cooking or making a pot of coffee. She would always have dinner on the table when I came down to visit from Maryland. And what a dinner it was. She knew my favorite which was butter beans and corn meal dumplings. Connie, Beverly, Carl and myself were truly blessed. Many thanks Carl and Connie for taking such good care of our Mom.

She was my Sunshine, and as the hours and days go by, i miss her more and more. I reflect on how she loved those around her, how she wanted to know what everybody was doing and how they were doing. She can not be replaced, only remembered, and let us take a page from her book and live life contently.

Mom brought to us patty, martha, annie, and loquita who are now a part of our family forever, and are blessings which we would have never known without mom - mom's gift to us to help us carry on.

I love you mom, and will always remember you for the rest of my days...

Hi, Connie, Joe told me of your mother's death....I just wanted to add a perspective or image of your mom that goes back over 45 years when we were teenagers: number one, I thought she was a beautiful woman with her pretty light-colored hair and then I loved her southern accent, and lastly, it was a great wonder to me that she was expecting a child at this particular time in all of our lives, I have some fond memories of visiting her home. Trust you will know God's comfort and peace in the days ahead. Cathleen Baker
