She was a member of Tabernacle United Method Church, Poquoson. Carolyn was a Peninsula resident for most of her life and graduated from Hampton High School. She retired from the C&P Telephone Company in 1986, as a service representative in the Williamsburg Office. Her favorite pastimes included working outside with her plants and flowers, cooking, reading, and walking. Above all, Carolyn's greatest joy was spending time with her family and many close friends.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 59 years, Wayne Williams; two sons, Wayne Williams Jr. and wife, Chris of Poquoson, and Gene Williams and wife, Mary Ann of Kitty Hawk, N.C.; a daughter, Geri Williams and fiancE, Mike Hovan of Hampton; a brother, Bill Dancy and wife, Shirley of Hampton; five grandchildren, Justin Williams and wife, Kristy, and great-grandchild, Ava of Winnabow, N.C., Erica Cameron and friend, Matt Thimons of Newport News, Roger Cameron of Poquoson, Paul Casper and wife, Debbie of Henderson, Nev., and Angela Casper and fiancE, Mark Gibbs of Kill Devil Hills, N.C.; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Her loving family has lost a cherished wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother. The world has lost a selfless woman whose friendship enriched the lives of all who knew her.

Geri,

I have such fond memories from back in the day spending the night at your parents home. Your Mom and Dad were so nice. My sincere sympathy to all of you. My Mother knew your Mother very well, and, my Father had stories of your Father which made me laugh so much before his passing. I will enjoy them forever, and, hope to someday catch up with you. May GOD bless you and yours. Please, take comfort that your beautiful Mother is now in our Father's home, and, through Him, we will all met again on the other side!

There is no magic words to ease the pain all of you are experiencing now. Our thoughts and prayers go out to each of you. My sister told me just before she died that memories are gifts left behind when a loved one passes. It's easy to know that each of you have many fond memories of Carolyn. Hold these memories closely and they will sustain you. May God bring comfort to each of you in the following days.
