Jack WOODALL Obituary

SEAFORD - Jack Lee Woodall Jr.'s brave fight ended Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2009.
Jack was born in Ft. Knox, Ky., and was a Peninsula resident for 30 years. He owned and operated Woodall's Roofing of Yorktown, Va., for more than 25 years.
Jack is survived by his wife Dianna; two daughters, Ashley and Jessica Woodall; a son, Ryan Woodall; and a granddaughter, Lillian, all of Seaford. He is also survived by his parents, Jack and Theresa Woodall; a brother, Steven Woodall; and a sister, Connie Patrick, all of Hampton; and his paternal grandmother, Imogene Woodall of Tenn.
Jack was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and never missed watching a game. He loved to travel and he and Dianna visited many Carribbean Islands over the past years, but his favorite destination was taking the family to the Outer Banks every July. Jack will always be remembered for his ability to make everyone laugh and for being the life of the party. He will truly be missed.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Woodall Family, 124 Lewis Drive, Seaford, VA 23696.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 11, 2009, in the chapel of Amory Funeral Home, Grafton with the Rev. Cliff Jordan officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. View and post condolences on our online guestbook at dailypress.com/guestbooks.

I know these condolences are very late but I just found out that Jack passed away. I am so terribly sorry to hear of your loss. We met Jack last year when he met with us about our new roof plans. Jack was clearly an amazing person as well and a businessman who was willing to go the extra mile to make his customers happy and get them what they wanted. He was in a class by himself as far as I am concerned and the whole family and company backed that up to the highest level. I felt as though I knew Jack a little bit, and I know that you all who truly did know and love him have been through so much over the past year and a half. He was very brave and positive and clearly a great family man. God grant that Jack's spirit and all your memories of good times will live on and surround you now and in the future.

Jack's youngest daughter, Jessica, and I have been friends since our freshman year in high school. Jack and Diana have always considered me their, "adopted daughter". I went on vacation with them and spent a lot of time with their family. Jack had a good sense of humor and could always make me laugh. I was there to support Jess at the hospital while her dad passed away. I have never experienced anyone die in my presence and it was definitely moving. I'm happy to see that Jack no longer has to suffer and be paralyzed. I will always miss him. REST IN PEACE, JACK <3
