We do not get the paper, and no one in the neighborhood let us know of your mothers passing. We are very sorry to hear of the loss. I visited with your mother on several occassions and she was a very delightful person. Unfortunately, I am not one who visits often. Again, so sorry for your loss.

Tommy,
The passing of your mother is truly a sad day for everyone; however, she is no longer suffering; she has found her peace. Please accept our heartfelt condolences. Ms. Jackie was a loving, compassionate, generous soul, and she was my mother's best friend. Now they are together once again. I will miss her candle in the window...but more than that, I will miss her! We will all miss her! May peace be with you during this difficult time.

Tommy and family,
I will miss seeing the nightlite on in the window of her home when visiting Glouster and the former home of Kitty with Chris and Zion. She will forever be in my heart. I will keep you in my prayers during this difficult time.

Growing up at EBC and being around Ms. Jackie was a wonderful, happy experience. I loved hearing her sing, listening to her stories and just being around her! She did all the flowers for my wedding, making my day that much more special! She was the kindest, sweetest person and I will miss her.

Jackie will always be known as "Aunt Jackie" to many young people and young adults. Her love and caring for so many was a true blessing to all who knew her. She will be greatly missed by her church and the community. Our condolances to Tommy and to the family.

Jackie was a Godsend to the Custer family for decades. She was a true friend who went above and beyond. All of us, my grandparents, my parents, my children and cousins all adored her and thought of her as "family." I know she thought of my father as one of her true brothers. We will sorely miss our visits and mining her wonderfully sharp memory that was so strong despite her frailty. Listening to her stories brought all of those people and events to life to those too young to recall. Visiting the cottage will never be the same again. Your loss is ours as well.

Since first meeting her when I was in grade school, and for the nearly 45 years I knew Mrs. Rainier, she always made me feel like family. Her loving and kind nature will be missed by all. Heartfelt sympathy to my friend Tom and the family.
