James JEWELL Obituary

GLOUCESTER - James Emmett Jewell, 70, died June 1, 2010, at Riverside Walter Reed Hospital.
James had resided at the Cary Adult Home, Gloucester since 1987. He was a happy go lucky person, enjoyed his daily walks on Main Street and was a friend to everyone he met.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Irbey and Ruth Vick Jewell.
He is survived by his family of special friends at the Cary Adult Home.
Graveside funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, June 4, 2010, at Olive Branch Cemetery, Portsmouth.
In memory of James donations can be made to American Cancer Society, c/o Mrs. G. Edward Mowry, 7274 Joseph Lewis Road, Hayes, VA 23072.

We are so sorry to hear of the passing of James, my daughter and I worked at Cary Avenue. We enjoyed working with the residents and hope we can again. James was always kind and I"m sure he will be missed.
