I first met Jim in 1959 when over 125 Army helicopters were at Fort Bragg, N
C., for a AUSA demonstration. We became good friends from that time until now. Our wives, both deceased, were good friends also. He will be always remembered.

When I think of Mr. Lockhart, I just smile and remember the nice times we shared when he would visit us here in Stone Mountain, Georgia. Even though the Lord called you home, the memories you left behind will never be forgotten.

I Flew with Jim Lockhart many times between 1960 and 1975. We went to the South Pole together in 1964, where he saved the life of at least one mountain climber. ( see LIFE magazine 7 November 1964. He is the unlisted pilot)
