James Walton Obituary
Tom was born Aug. 30, 1921,in King & Queen County. He was educated and a lifelong resident of King & Queen County, and a lifelong member of Old Church, Shanghai, Va. He retired from Chesapeake Corporation after 44 years of service.
Tom was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Emma Kate Walton; and a son, Bryant Douglas Walton.
He is survived by his children and their spouses, Peggy and George Callis of Mattaponi, David and Lee Walton of Gloucester, Ryland Walton of Mattaponi, Joyce and Robert Miller of Topping; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, at Vincent Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 417 11th Street, West Point, VA. Burial will follow in Sunny Slope Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight, at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Old Church UM Church, 5934 Lewis B. Puller Memorial Hwy, Shacklefords, VA 23156.

My prayers go out to Mr. Walton's Family. I only knew Mr. Walton a very short while as i took care of him At riverside. But he was the sweetiest man I ever knew. He was kind , and always talked about different things he like. As i got to know his family they told me so much about his life. He will be deeply missed.
