Janet HOWELL Obituary
Precious wife of Gene O. Howell; loving mother of Michael G. Howell, Stephen K. Howell and Gregory L. Howell; beloved daughter of Clara (nee Powell) Lewis and the late Winfred Lewis; dear sister of Patsy Hancock; loving grandmother of Candice Kupferer and Drew Latonik; cherished aunt of Debbie Hancock, Mark Hancock (Stephie), and Douglas Brown Jr. (Eileen); adored niece of Ann Lewis, Ruby Binder (Sam), Ann Herbert, Alma Lewis and Mozell Holland. Also survived by her brother-in-law, Douglas Brown Sr.
Janet was predeceased by a sister, Shelby Brown.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 1, 2010, in Vale United Methodist Church, 11528 Vale Road, Oakton, VA 22124. A private graveside service will be in Quantico National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church. My life, and those of our children, are better for having had Janet in them. Her quiet demeanor, her quickness to find the humor in a situation, her love of children and kind acceptance of others are just a few of the qualities I so loved about Janet. I hope she'll save me a seat in Heaven~

Dear Gene....I haven't seen you in many, many years but was truly stunned yesterday to learn of Janet's passing. I remember what a super girl she was and the great relationship you and she had. My wife (Sandra Weaver) was very fond of Janet, too, and sends her heartfelt condolences. Our very best to you, Gene, and your family.

Although words cannot convey the depth of ones importance, I want to say that Janet was the greatest gift of a Grandmother to Candice. I am thankful to have had her in our (mine and CCs) life.
She will stay with us through memory and tradition, she was very loved and will never be forgotten.
