TOANO - Jeffery W. Landers entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, June 12, 2013, in Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center. His life began on August 21, 1956, the son of the late Julia Ann and John Landers, Sr. In his youth, he accepted Christ into his life and became a member of Hartswell Baptist Church, Lancaster, Virginia. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. Most of his life he was employed in the food service business. He was loved and will be greatly missed by everyone. He leaves to cherish his precious memories, his devoted and loving wife, Helen B. Landers; his sons, Jeffery Ferguson, Dwayne Landers, Karem Landers, and Jahiem Landers; his nine grandchildren; his four sisters; his three brothers, and a host of other loving relatives and many caring friends. A funeral service, celebrating the life he lived, will be held 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 15, 2013, in Hartswell Baptist Church, 10559 River Road, Lancaster, Virginia, with the Rev. Ernest Webster officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Kilmarnock, Virginia. Family and friends will assemble at 2576 Little Creek Dam Road by 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Mr. Landers may be viewed from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday (tonight), in the funeral home.
