Jeffrey TOPPING Obituary

NEWPORT NEWS - Jeffrey R. Topping passed away suddenly June 20, 2010.
Jeff was born in Newport News on Feb. 1, 1979, and graduated from Peninsula Catholic High School in 1997. He graduated from Thomas Nelson Community College in 2009 with a degree in Engineering. He was employed at Northrop Grumman in the Reactor Services Dept, and was currently attending ODU.
Jeff started riding motorcycles in 2006 and loved to ride his customized Harley. His favorite rides included Boneshakers in Virginia Beach and his favorite place to shop, Hampton Roads Harley Davidson. He was a national and local chapter H.O.G. member.
Jeff was preceded by his mother, Lorraine Topping; grandmothers, Barbara Wiant and Marshall Shelton; and grandfather, James O. Topping Sr.
He is survived by his father, James and stepmother, Adrienne; brother, Timothy; and grandfather, H. Ross Wiant; his aunts, Judi Du Pont and Renee Wilson, and uncle, Stuart Wiant, and their families; and his fiancEe, Aften Petersen.
Visitation and a time of sharing will be from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, June 24, 2010, at W. J .Smith & Son Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 26, 2010, in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens in Suffolk.

For a short time Jeff came into our lives and we watched love grow between our daughter and Jeff. Such a sweet and gentle man. Always there to help us, never asking anything in return. We will miss him and never forget him.
