Jesse BRAY Obituary

CHURCHVILLE - Jesse "Jay" Franklin Bray, 80, of 225 Doe Hill Dr., died Saturday, June 5, 2010, at Augusta Health.
Born July 24, 1929, in Clarksburg, W.Va., he was a son of Jesse F. Bray Sr. and Vera (Golden) Bray.
Mr. Bray served in the Air Force for four years, and was employed by Sears and Roebuck for 40 year. He was a 32° Mason of the Scottish Rite in the Valley of Norfolk, and was also a Shriner in the Khedive Temple. He retired to the Shenandoah Valley in 1990 and enjoyed flying general aviation. He was a member and a past elder of Springhill Presbyterian Church.
He was preceded in death by a stepson, Doug Clark; as well as one brother and one sister.
Surviving are his wife, Laurie (Kundis) Clark Bray; three children, Mark Bray of Virginia Beach, Katrina Lokken of Lynchburg, and Tanya Bray of Petersburg; two sisters, Clara Mae Hudgins and husband, Kent of Virginia Beach, and Kay Ackiss and husband, Harvey of Portsmouth; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday in Springhill Presbyterian Church, Staunton, with the Rev. Charles McFarlin and the Rev. Herbert Lewis officiating.
Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society, 1920-H Medical Ave., Harrisonburg, VA 22801.
