Jimmie Hamm Obituary
He leaves behind his wife of 57 years, Stella; three children, Diana Klink (John) of Cumberland, Md., Sandra Young (Steve) of Mill City, Ore., and son, Jimmie D. Hamm Jr. of Newport News, Va. He also leaves behind 16 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and a host of friends from Grace Bible Church. He is also survived by one sister, Belle Sandefur of King, N.C.; two brothers, James Hamm and wife, Marie of Castle Hayne, N.C., and Arthur Hamm and wife, Francis of Rocky Mount, N.C.; and sister-in-law, Mina Gray Hamm of Chesapeake, Va.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Ludie Hamm; brothers, Rufus Langston and Earl Hamm; and sister, Mildred Murray.
Jimmie ended his career as an electrician at the Naval Weapons Station in 1993 and continued to enjoy his family, his home, his church, and helping others in whatever ways he could. He was grateful for the opportunity to serve as Deacon in Grace Bible Church.
A viewing will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, March 4, at Andrews Funeral Home. The funeral service, conducted by Pastor Wayne Duck and Pastor John Klink, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 5, at Grace Bible Church with interment in the church cemetery.
The family wishes memorial donations to be made to Grace Bible Church, P. O. Box 105, Ark, VA 23003, Bible Broadcasting Network, P. O. Box 7300, Charlotte, NC 28241, or Riverside Walter Reed Hospice, P.O. Box 1130, Gloucester, VA 23061.

30 decendents. What a Heritage. An old fashioned work ethic, love for family, dedication to God, and a heart for serving. What a godly legacy.
Papa will be missed for sure. But he's left a lot behind for us to remember.
Today he is smelling "roses that will never fade".
