Joan BLANDFORD Obituary

WILLIAMSBURG - Joan Yates Blandford, 72, died on Sept. 29, 2010.
She was a resident of Williamsburg and spent the winter season each year in Daytona Beach, Fla. Joan was born and raised in Washington, D.C. She met and married Walter Blandford, and spent 48 wonderful years as a wife, mother, and homemaker. They traveled extensively, and some of her happiest memories were made riding along with Walter on his motorcyle. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and was also an Elk-hart. She was a member of St. Bede Catholic Church in Williamsburg.
Joan is survived by her husband, Walter; her son, Glenn Blandford and wife, Brenda; her daughter, Teresa Hefner and husband, Donald; and three grandchildren, Victoria Blandford, Sarah Hefner and Trevor Blandford. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
A funeral mass will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2010, at St. Bede Catholic Church, 3686 Ironbound Rd, Williamsburg, followed by interment in the St. Bede Columbarium.

I was saddened to hear of Mrs Blandford's passing. My family will remember you both in prayer and fondly with good memories on Sherwood Avenue.
