Dear Connie,
I want to let you know what a wonderful mother you had. Joanie was a good person and my neighbor on 35th Street in Newport News, VA. Your grandmother was from Holland and when I was in the army in Germany, she wrote me the nicest letter, which meant a lot to me at that time being overseas. Daniel, Joanie, and Kathy were all good kids and we all grew up together. My sister, Louise was a friend of Kathy's and we send our love and prayers to you at this time. Mickey and Louise Marcella

Joanna was a sweet spirit who blessed my family through our knowing her. Her kindness when she lost her son while helping my family after the death of my Mom always impressed me. She put others first and I pray the Lord will now place her first. Our love to her family.
