What a true gentleman. Joe would come into the offices of Hatteras Realty and bring us all smiles. He was a pleasure to work with and to know. We will truly miss him.

Joe was a neighbor in Ford's Colony before moving to Patriot's Colony. He and his wife Betty were lovely people. After Betty passed away, Joe missed her very much, but continued to be a favorite on our street and played golf in our Worplesdon Open events for several years. We send our sincere condolences to the family.

I was Joe's Executive Officer in USS Hartley (DE-1029) in late 1961 and 1962. He was a real gentleman, one of the finest officers I ever served, and much loved and respected by all our crew. Joe was Mister Cool in those perilous times between the Bay of Pigs and the Kennedy-Kruschev showdown.
My sincere condolences to all the family.
