To my "Uncle" Bernie. You were always upset with me & Chele for never referring to you as uncle, just Bernie. But on today, I'll give you the honor that you rightfully deserve. You were special in many ways. Know that you'll be missed; know that you've given us plenty of memories and more reasons to smile just knowing that we had an opportunity to share fun times with you.

Your "niece",

Tracy

It is so very hard to imagine that Bernie is not walking among us any more. Over the past couple of years I saw Bernie nearly every time I came to the U.S. from South Africa. He always had a joke for me. He was always concerned about his beloved sister Sarah and his family. It won't be the same not seeing him when I come back. With deep affection and love, we'll miss you...

In times of sorrow, we must rejoice in the afterlife...full of riches and gold...and eternal life on high. Family, friends, the memories we keep alive about Bernie will be what keeps him alive in us all. I'll never forget your laugh, Bernie...you will be missed.
Peace and Blessings to us all...

In Bernie's words I think he's lookin' rather dapper

Sarah, I am so sorry I was unable to be there with you but you know my prayers and thoughts were with you. Bernie and I shared many conversations about the old days when you and I played ball together, When ever I came to visit you, I looked forward to seeing him. I'm going to miss the laughter we shared but know that my prayers are with you sand if you need me I am available.

Love,

Bunnie, Cheryl & Teddy

My Dear Uncle Bernie! We will miss you deeply. I never told you how good you made me feel when I walked in the room. You always boost my ego 10 times. Somedays I needed it....everyday I appreciated it! You welcomed me and my family back and it was as if we never parted. I pray you forgive me for missing your homegoing. I'll miss that smile and that greeting..."Hey Girllll...Whatcha doing? Whatcha got?" Absence from the body is to be in the presence of GOD! I'll keep the memories and cherish our friendship! Rest in enternal peace! Deon, Glenda, Lil D, & Dor Coleman

There are only tears left for the man that kept me sane, the man that knew me better than I know myself, the man that told me I could be anything I wanted to be, the man who taught me how to fish, how to appreciate football, how to relax on a Sunday and enjoy family time, how to enjoy my first born even though I was a teen mom, how to let stuff roll off my back when needed, and how to "jump time" when it was necessary... I will never forget you. I burried a piece of my heart with you on Dec 14, 2009... You are more than a "Step Father" You are my DADDY!!!!!!!!

TO ANN & THE PRICE FAMILY: I am truly sorry for your loss. It was a shock to hear the John had passed away. I have been knowing John most of my life. He always had a joke to tell or some memory of things that happened back in the day, in Aberdeen. He always made me laugh. But, what I will remember most is how happy he made you Ann. When you two found each other again and got married. You both were so happy. May God give you & his family Peace in the days and months to come. You all have my deepest sympathy.
