NEWPORT NEWS - John Henry Brown, a former resident of Williamsburg, answered the Master's call on Saturday, December 8, 2012, in Regency HealthCare Center, Yorktown, Virginia. His life began on June 1, 1933, the son of the late Joanna Brown and the late William Harris. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Williamsburg. He was a loving and kind person who will be missed by all who knew and loved him.He leaves to treasure his memories, his daughter, Maxine Hawkins; his four grand children; his eight great-grandchildren and a host of other loving relatives and many caring friends. A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 17, 2012, in Whiting's Chapel with the Rev. Ronald A. Ellis officiating. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home by 1:45 p.m. on Monday. Mr. Brown may be viewed only in the funeral home on Monday beginning at 11:00 a.m., until the hour of his service.
